About the Position

Taco Bell is looking for a talented Junior Associate to join the PR team for a 6-month contract. The Taco Bell PR team is an industry-leading group that develops and builds a breakthrough brand presence, innovative programs and leading brand storytelling for Taco Bell across all earned channels.

This role will help contribute to planning and execution for brand activations and publicity activations, as well as earned media/company storytelling efforts behind our brands’ menu products, company initiatives and real-time social opportunities.

The Junior Associate will have the opportunity to grow their marketing skills by evaluating and developing creative concepts, working with partners on timing and deliverables, go behind the scenes at brainstorm sessions, and more. They will also have opportunities for visibility with cross-functional team members and leadership (including lunches or coffee chats with key team members.) In addition, interns will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

  • Assist ongoing PR activities, campaign research, program development and execution.

  • Aid in the development and editing of written materials as needed.

  • Support influencer, stakeholder and media relationship kits and mailers.

  • Monitor breaking news, social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter (X) etc.) for real-time trends, news, and conversations.

  • Identify and analyze emerging trends and cultural moments that align with our brand.

  • Collaborate with PR & social media teams to brainstorm and develop creative campaign ideas.

  • Assist in the tracking of the performance of trend-based content.

  • Assist the PR team with media tastings, outreach and building media lists.

  • Support agency communications and program calendar planning.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to contribute 30-40 hours a week for a 6 month contract

  • Recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Must be passionate and have knowledge of social media channels and the features specific to those channels including TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and Snapchat

  • Passionate and stays up to date on the latest social media trends, pop culture and real-time engagement

  • Creative problem solver with the ability to generate innovative ideas.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Additional Information

Hourly Rate: ­­$25/hour
