Through specialized tech, data insights, targeted marketing, and collective buying power, we empower pizzerias to better serve digitally-minded customers and build thriving local businesses.
Ilir Sela started Slice in 2015 to modernize his friends’ and family’s New York City pizzerias. Today, we partner with restaurants in over 3,000 cities and all 50 states, forming the nation’s largest community of independent pizzerias.

About the position
Ilir Sela started Slice with the belief that local pizzerias deserve all of the advantages of major franchises without compromising their independence. Starting with his family's pizzerias, we now empower over tens of thousands of restaurants with the technology, services, and collective power that owners need to better serve their digitally minded customers and build lasting businesses. We're growing and adding more talent to help fulfill this valuable mission. That's where you come in.
Independent, but not alone
While some pizza shop owners are related by blood, nationality, geography or common interest, they are not a single community of owners. Independent Pizza shops lack a single voice, representing who they are, what they stand for, and showcasing the incredible stories & impact they have on this important food category. Pizza shop owners don't have easy opportunities to understand how well they are doing, share best practices, get to know other owners, celebrate success, and generally become more connected with the critical industry they are powering. This is the problem we're trying to solve!
Pizza Community Builder
Slice's mission is to help independent pizzerias thrive. To do this, we need to help bring them together and share their stories. We need to help build a unified, engaged and powerful community, and we need someone to help us do that. We need someone who loves pizza, loves entrepreneurs and local businesses, and loves to connect people together. We need a person with energy, passion and creativity. We need someone who wants to build the most incredible pizza community in the world from the ground up. Is that you?
Things you’ll need to be successful
Love of Pizza - What's your favorite local shop?
Builder mentality - You have to want to build something from nothing
Energy - Pizza is a crazy industry, but it's super fun
Empathy - Being an Entrepreneur is hard work, you have to know and engage that
Urgency - We have to move fast and get stuff done
Detail oriented - The little stuff makes the magic happen
Willingness to go the extra mile for any customer
Experience managing events (both digital and in-person)
Experience creating various forms of content to educate shop owners on best business practices (eg blogs, newsletters, social media)

Salary Range: $100-160k OTE + benefits.
