About the position
Glamour is seeking an energetic and nimble commerce writer, preferably with a beauty and wellness background, who is comfortable covering style and lifestyle as needed, to review and write about products. The ideal candidate is passionate about journalism, fluent in SEO best practices, highly organized, comfortable with pitching and executing ideas across various platforms, and is someone who genuinely delights in sharing shopping recommendations they stand behind. This role reports to Glamour’s Commerce Director.
Responsibilities
Write 5 - 7 thoroughly researched and reported “best of” round-ups and reviews weekly
Test products and manage the sourcing of relevant reviews and creative assets (photos, videos, etc.) from a wider network of contributors
Regularly pitch creative, outside-of-the-box ideas for non-SEO-driven content based on a keen understanding of our audience
Assist with video to support reviews by pitching ideas for social, writing scripts and/or appearing on camera
Regularly report on content performance across platforms
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a related brand(s) or media publisher
Impeccable editorial judgement, ability to write conversationally with conviction and accuracy while capturing Glamour’s voice
Familiarity with the affiliate industry and business models is a plus
A mastery of SEO best practices
A finger to the pulse on the shopping content that’s popular on social media and ability to write clicky headlines / pitch social video ideas that resonate across networks
Willingness to produce and edit their own social video content for Glamour’s channels a plus
Ability to analyze performance across different verticals, product categories, retailers, and content types
Flexibility to write with authority on a variety of topics from beauty to wellness and style/fashion
Exceptional project management skills—must be able to consistently plan ahead while maintaining daily content production

The expected base salary range for this position is from $65,000-$107,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
For bonus-eligible roles only: In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
