SHE WORKS equips diverse, young women with career-readiness skills and connects them with internships at companies that demonstrate female leadership.
About the Program
She Works is a career readiness and internship program. There are three program elements: 1) mandatory career readiness training, 2) community-based learning and mentoring, 3) 100-hour internship. You will be matched with an internship opportunity based upon your major and career interests and include placements at Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, nonprofit businesses.
SHE WORKS equips diverse, young women with career-readiness skills and connects them with internships at companies that demonstrate female leadership.
SHE WORKS will provide the education, tools, and resources that young women need to thrive. Skills gained through the SHE WORKS program include: resume-building/writing, interviewing, networking, public speaking, and access to career development tools.
SHE WORKS is an accredited, equal opportunity internship program with both paid and unpaid internships (determined by employer).
Internships may be in person, remote, or hybrid.
LiveGirl’s Role
LiveGirl will match employers and program participants, as well as coordinate the career-readiness training and service leadership hours. All employment-related questions should be directed to the employer.
Employer’s Role
Provide a quality 100-hour internship experience. The employer determines whether the internship is paid or unpaid; if unpaid, it must pass the “primary beneficiary test.” Learn more.

Timeline
May 23th-June 15th: Career Readiness Mandatory Intern Training Sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4-5:15 pm via Zoom
June-July 31: Internships take place (coordinated with employer)
Requirements
College Student (Rising college freshman through rising college senior)
Ability to virtually attend weekly career-readiness workshops in June
Ability to work at least 100 hours between June 1, 2023 - July 31, 2023.
Most internships will be in-person, with some hybrid and remote options.
Submission of final report/presentation to LiveGirl
Must reside and be able to work in the United States legally. Those not located within the United States and/or do not have the authorization to work in the United States will not be considered for the SHE WORKS program.
