About the Position

The Assistant Manager of Social Media & Content, reporting to the Consumer Marketing Manager, will be responsible for bringing the brand to life across all vertical social platforms through best-in-class content. Including day-to-day community management and culturally relevant campaign activations that drive brand loyalty and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day channel management and operation including community management, copywriting, and content publishing across vertical social platforms (Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels, and TikTok, TikTok Live)

  • Ideate and create highly engaging content, ensuring it ladders up to the brand content pillars and helps fuel channel growth and engagement

  • Produce, film, and edit organic video content into social assets that can be syndicated to across platforms, retailers, and relevant partners

  • Appear on camera as in-house talent on social activations including TikTok Live, Instagram Live, online Sephora events, and community events

  • Capture content on site for all influencer and brand events

  • Manage the visual content calendar, creative briefs, and asset delivery in partnership with the Consumer Marketing Manager and Social Content Coordinator

  • Utilize analytics platforms and survey competitive landscape to share insights and cultural trends in real-time

  • Manage the content creation and curation process (including photo and video shoots) for organic and paid social alongside the Consumer Marketing Manager

  • Manage and utilize social media analytics tools for variety of team projects including monthly reports, launch reports, content deep dives, and competitive benchmarking

  • Present social media performance and competitive findings in monthly team meetings

  • Conceptualize, plan, and edit social photoshoots in partnership with the Consumer Marketing Manager

  • Develop content briefs for in-house talent to film social content

  • Collaborate with Sephora, Marketing, Sales and Creative teams for content and campaign development that align with global brand objectives

  • Share emerging channels and opportunities to continue to be a digital first brand

  • Additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years in Social Media Marketing or equivalent experience

  • Immersed in the TikTok landscape and understands the algorithm, best practices, and trending content for creating engaging content

  • Strategic, proactive and has a keen attention to detail

  • Creative, innovative personality that is always thinking outside of the box

  • Experience with community management, customer service and social engagement

  • Strong photography and videography skills—ability to tell stories and create compelling content

  • 24-7 pulse on all things Gen-Z and is well-versed on the latest social media trends, platforms, and services

  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude

  • Excellent copywriting skills that can effectively merge brand voice and cultural trends

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Final Cut Pro or similar editing software

  • Must live in or near Los Angeles, CA
