About the Position
We’re on the hunt for a social media coordinator, someone passionate about engaging with communities online and digital storytelling. This position will report to our Director of Consumer Marketing and Digital Content. Opportunity can be based in NYC or the Boston Seaport. This is a full-time role. The right candidate lives and breathes social media and has a passion to learn more about developing and executing community management efforts, social media strategies, and content for a brand.
Responsibilities
Community Management and Engagement
Engage Living Proof community by monitoring and responding to online conversation about Living Proof in real time and in brand voice across all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, Supergreat and other Living Proof platforms), working with customer care team as needed
Lead proactive outreach and engagement efforts on social, including identifying surprise and delight opportunities for Living Proof community
Monitor community content across all platforms and identify opportunities for reposts (ie for IG stories, IG reels, TikToks, etc)
Manage social giveaways and promotions, including monitoring entries, updating rules and regulations, and shipping prizes
Proactively think of and implement new engagement tactics to continue to build brand loyalty, increase our community and offer valuable content and information to our followers
Assist social team in nurturing brand loyal community groups like Lp Insiders, including day to day communications, regular product send outs and implementing engagement and loyalty tactics
Use social listening platforms to identify opportunities to insert ourselves into relevant conversations within beauty, haircare and other industry conversations
Content Creation
Live content creation for organic and paid social, and social copywriting as needed
Must be comfortable starring in, filming and producing video content for brand channels like IG reels, TikTok and how-to tutorials
Assist with concepting and developing engaging content, including participating in content brainstorms for monthly social content and new product launches
Source and curate User Generated Content (UGC) and manage posting rights
Monitor key cultural moments and trending conversations, identifying opportunities for Living Proof to join conversation creatively and/or adapt trend to branded content
Assist social team with scheduling and posting content as needed
Work with social team to decide on content themes and create content to be posted across Living Proof social profiles, including video and photo
Social Strategy
Support social team in development and execution of social strategy to grow awareness and engagement with Living Proof on social media
Research and report on social media trends/new features and ways for Living Proof to implement via content in real time
Manage and report key insights on competitor social strategy and content
Assist with tracking and analyzing the success of content, campaigns, and activations
Report on and share out community sentiment trends, frequently asked questions and topics / themes that can be used for future content creation
Requirements
1+ years of experience (can include internships) in social media, digital marketing, or content creation
Obsessed with social media platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Supergreat, Flip
Exceptional written communication skills
Ability to easily multi-task, prioritize and think creatively
Proficient in video content creation and editing
Passion for the beauty/haircare industry
Experience with major social management platforms a plus, like Sprout Social, Dash Hudson and Meltwater
Strategic, creative thinker who knows how to bring fresh, innovative ideas to life
Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
Other information
Compensation: $55k annually
