About the Position
At Hot Topic, we’re passionate about creativity and high performance. We're also passionate about Pop Culture...in case you hadn't noticed. We’re looking for a Social Media Influencer Specialist that is obsessed with music, pop culture, fashion, technology and the latest social media trends. As the Social Media Influencer Specialist at Hot Topic you’ll be asked to create relationships with influencers and collaborate with them to amplify Hot Topic’s campaigns. You follow and know influencers and content creators (and their agents) across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and more. The Social Media Influencer Specialist will also provide support to the Social Media team with daily operations and implementation of marketing projects and campaigns on social media.
Responsibilities
Identify and cultivate relationships with mid- level influencers, content creators and their agency partners
Execute license influencer partnership campaigns including identifying, ideating and executing campaigns, drafting campaign briefs and content guidelines to ensure most engaging content creation
Manage HT Fanatic TikTok Creator Network by communicating brand needs for content and identifying the right creator for each campaign and initiative
Source, identify and contract influencers for live content
Assist in driving diversity amongst influencer relationships
Work within budget to fulfill all campaign partnerships including those with external partners
Draft and review partnership contracts in coordination with legal counsel
Understand the influencer landscape, their social platforms, content creation patterns and their work
Develop stories, leveraging influencers, that connect to brand objectives and consumer needs
Monitor, track and share new digital and social trends, tools and platforms to connect with brand strategies
Utilize social listening tools/platforms to measure influencer activity against brand KPIs
Constantly network with both established and up-and-coming influencers that are on brand
Collaborate with internal teams (creative services, merchants, etc) to plan and execute campaigns
Qualifications
BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or equivalent preferred
1 to 2 years prior marketing experience or equivalent
1 to 2 years of influencer marketing with a brand or agency
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, preferred
Experience with Social Insights
Experience with influencer managing programs such as Mavrck and TikTok Creator Marketplace, preferred
Illustrates a dedication to meeting requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly
Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator
Strong ability to multi-task and seamlessly move from project to project
Strong understanding of industry trends and demonstrated knowledge and proven ability to identify marketing opportunities
Passion and open mind regarding music, pop culture and fashion trends
Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change and maintains composure under pressure
Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues
Open to working nights and weekends
Ability to travel to events
