About the Position

The Brand Marketing Intern will work within the Consumer Marketing team supporting the planning and execution of consumer marketing priorities for Hallmark Media, including Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Mystery and our streaming service, Hallmark+. The Consumer Marketing team works closely with internal teams and external partners on initiatives such as paid media campaigns, consumer promotions, email marketing, experiential events, sweepstakes and creative advertising development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct competitive research related to the development of our consumer marketing campaigns (network and cable series & movie premieres, social media activities, events, marketing partnerships, streaming campaigns, etc.). Present research & insights to the team.

  • Assist in the development & execution of tactics such as email marketing, paid media tactics, premium development, sweepstakes ideation, partnership recaps, etc.

  • Review marketing creative assets to ensure accuracy & provide feedback to Creative team.

  • Participate in internal & external meetings, recapping next steps & action items for the team.

  • Liaison with outside vendors, setting meetings, reviewing & filing presentation materials, etc.

  • Read scripts, watch rough cuts & assist in development of creative briefs for movies & series.

  • Proactively maintain programming calendars, talent details, creative brief assignments, departmental library of proposals, etc.

  • Other tasks as needed to assist with the development of our marketing campaigns.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Rising junior or senior from a four-year university.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, file sharing sites, streaming platforms & all social media platforms.

  • Strong interest in entertainment marketing.

  • Passion for connecting with consumers in innovative and disruptive ways.

  • Enthusiastic self-starter with excellent analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Proactive, curious, detail-oriented, and proficient at juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Other information

The hourly range for this job is $17.27. Hourly rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
