About the Position

CHANEL is looking for an associate to join our events Team in New York. You will play a leading role in supporting the events team through the planning, execution, and post event process for all image, press events and special initiatives. This role interfaces with stakeholders across all three CHANEL divisions as well as key external partners. Our ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience, is solution-oriented, creative thinker with a passion for managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team in seamless planning, execution and post event needs for all CHANEL image, press events and special initiatives

  • Partner with the team to develop communication documents including overviews, timelines, contact lists and recaps for circulation to key executives and Paris team (as needed)

  • Collaborate closely with all relevant internal teams including Press, VIP, Creative, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Indirect Procurement and Finance in the US to support execution of events

  • Communicate with and request proposals from vendors for upcoming events and track relevant invoice / payment details for vendors

  • Manage team administrative logistics including travel schedule, meeting preparation, maintain event calendars, create monthly expense reports, and track relevant expenses

  • Maintain current inventory of event collateral, furniture and other material and archive relevant digital and printed materials post event

  • Research competitive local events and compile quarterly recaps and information for Chanel global teams

  • Assist on-site with event execution

Position Logistics

  • 2 years of experience (dependent upon internship experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Position based in New York office

  • Travel requirement: up to 20 % Travel, dependent on event schedule and locations

  • Available for weekends, extended hours as needed based on events
